About the artist

The Queen has one of his paintings in the main entrance to the Private Apartments at Windsor Castle and H.R.H. The Prince of Wales has described Chris's work as 'perceptive and accurate'. Amongst Chris's paintings on exhibition are portraits of Sheila Ferguson of the Three Degrees and percussionist Evelyn Glennie. Tyrrell has produced many landscapes including paintings from the Far East, Swan-Upping in the Thames Valley. He has exhibited at the Royal Society of Portrait Painters, the Royal Society of British Artists and the Royal Society of Painter Etchers and Engravers and has illustrated many books.
