About the artist

A celebrated artist from the Netherlands, Dick Bruna is most famous for his creation of the character Miffy, in 1955- a white bunny that has featured in many picture books that have sold over 85 million copies worldwide.
Bruna's style of illustration is distinctive: bright, colourful and minimal. "What matters to me is reducing everything to its essence so that no line is redundant. That is the strength of simplicity: the art of omission."
