About the artist

After completing an education in art and fashion design at Pretoria Technikon, I went on to study medical illustration at the Medical University of Southern Africa.

I have had several sell-out exhibitions, and illustrated a children's book, which helped fund my trip to Europe where I was able to experience the masters and contemporary artists first hand.

For several years I ran my own paint effects company specialising in faux finishes murals, and hand painted furniture.

The desire to be back in the studio full time, with the smell of turpentine and linseed oil have brought me full circle. I am now focusing once again on fine art with my focus being on figurative paintings in oils and pen and ink illustrations. When I draw or paint, I like the idea of mystery, the story of what they see is up to the viewer. Very often the pose or facial expression will be deep in thought.
