About the artist

With a love of surfing and keen interest in photography, Andy Pearce moved to Cornwall in 1991, where he was inspired by the rugged coastline and wonderful views of the Atlantic that can be seen whilst walking Cornwall's coastal paths.
His surfing trips took him to remote Cornish beaches where the scenery cultivated an inner need to express his love of the coastline and ocean.
Andy Pearce set about teaching himself to paint and having a natural flair for painting was soon capturing the wonderful Cornish sunsets.
Like many other artists Andy works on location making small sketches and watercolours, then returns to his studio to create the finished paintings of seascapes, sunsets, waves and coastal scenes in acrylics on canvas or board.
