About the artist
Oliver Wilson oil paintings offer an insight into a dreamlike world using models in water to portray figure studies strongly influenced by baroque works by Bellini and Gaulli. He uses photography to capture these images, thus enabling the view to see the refraction of flesh and fabric under the water giving the subjects a distortion bordering on abstraction whilst retaining an observational realism.
Oliver was winner of the award for Best Artist in show at ArtLondon 2004 awarded by BIDA, the British Interior Design Association. His original oil paintings are handled by Bond Street dealers in London.
